Blunted Presents - BITS! Vol.12 ft. Random Hero
I’ve been wanting to get a recorded set from Random Hero (Tim) since hearing him in the back of the Swan in Wantage many years ago, and with Facebook I managed to pin him down. Tim describes this mix as “A blend of Hip Hop with a splash of “Reggae Reggae Sauce” and a hint of Funk. I’m pleased to say it doesn’t disappoint. In addition to the BITS! mixes we feature on Blunted we’ll be running little mini interviews to let you know more about the DJs. Please let us know if you have downloaded the mix, and more importantly let us know what you think about it! Drop you comments below.

Schweeeet! Lovin this mix! Play in London at all? I’m commonly hittin the Notting Hill scene, you would fit in nicely, get on it!
Alright Dude
Cheers for the props! The mix is just a taste of me, so to speak!
No not as yet but am always looking for new opportunities! Hint Hint!! I play regularly in Wantage’s very own Cellar Bar. Currently the only place in town to hear DJ’s playing music other than that of the cheese variety, it’s lacking any room to dance in though….
Notting Hill! I am there this Monday for carnival. This is one of the reasons I picked London as my favourite city I have been going regularly for years now. One day I will get to be selector at a sound system!
Peas!
tim = leg End! 5 seconds walk from reeplays crib…. all relative
Jolly good old chap, having a listen right now.
Heavy heavy mix - will be rinsing this for some time to come
Cor, sounds like a night out in wantage, only missing the kebab and cheesy chips and daz getting arrested.
Shout out in this months Hip Hop Connection from DJ Yoda - Props!
DJ Random Hero describes his ‘Big In The Scene’ (BITS mix as “A blend of hip-hop with a splash or Reggae Reggae Sauce and a hint of funk! I guess..” and it’s not easy to add much to that. So if you like Black Moon, The Pharcyde and then a bit of Tenor Saw, then you should make sure you head over to bluntedpresents.co.uk- DJ Yoda, Ones & Twos, Hip Hop Connection, pg. 103, December 2007
