‘Take a Little Time’ is the latest offering from one of East Yorkshire’s finest production talents, Patrick Dooner aka Pat D. ‘Take a Little Time’ is the second full recording release from A Bridge Too Far Recordings and sees Pat D providing beats for artists from the UK, US and France, including emcees and vocalists such as Melodiq, Voice, Lady Paradox (whom Pat D collaborated with on the excellent ‘Kind of Peace’), Lauren Jake, Elodie Rama and Sene.

Pat creates the music he enjoys listening to and works with artists of similar mindset. This shows, as ‘Take a Little Time’ flows brilliantly from start to finish, unlike some releases by producers that can jump around styles through the tracklisting thus ending up a little disjointed.

The ambiance of this release follows in much the same footsteps of ‘Kind of Peace’, which is by no means a bad thing and showcasing different artists on each track then is something for everyone, and Hip Hop alike.

With artists on ‘Take a Little Time’ citing influences from acts such as A Tribe Called Quest, Gangstarr, Erykah Badu, Jean Grae and Bahamadia, Pat D has accomplished a balanced album, each track complementing the others to create an overall jazzy, laid back, smooth, soulful and intelligent sound - perfect for the summer months.

‘Take A Little Time’ is out today in Japan and end of summer here. It should be available in all the usual shops, in particular Juno Records, Rap and Soul Mail Order and iTunes and on A Bridge Too Far Recordings.
