Well, unlike many rappers (less so these days it seems) Murs has always embraced the internet “When rappers were screaming don’t download, I was screaming, ‘Do it,’ because that was the only reason people would know my music in Texas and I could go do a show there and that would get me paid,” Murs Explains. This is something I can concur with for sure. So, its Murs, its 9th, its not as good as previous ventures but its solid and if you like both Murs and 9th your find it hard to hate on.

This album drops before ‘Murs For President (Love And Rockets)’ his first major label release, which is out on September the 30th. Now with a major, Murs has some reasource at his disposal and ‘Murs For President (Love And Rockets)’ will see him team up with DJ Premier, Snoop, Whole Wheat Bread, will.i.am and even a punk band. “This one is for all the marbles,” Murs has said. “If this don’t go, it don’t go. This is it for me. I’m almost 30. I’ve been doing this and if I don’t know how to do it by now and I can’t make a platinum record, I’ve failed. If I can’t get a Grammy, sell a million records and initiate some type of change in the culture and the music that I love, then it’s time for me to step aside.”
