Blunted Presents - BITS! Vol.18 ft. Sam Webster

BITS! is back! At last we break our 6 month drought to bring you an extra special collection of hand-picked tracks from our very good friend Sam Webster (aka Sloth). I can tell you this mix has been a very long time coming, we’ve been badgering Mr Webster for yonks, but its well worth the wait.

Featuring a whole heap of different genre’s it doesn’t try to conform in any way, much like its creator! Artists include Sage Francis, Atmosphere, Gangstarr to The Strokes, Interpol, These New Puritans to Subtle, LCD Soundsystem, Aphex Twin and Arcade Fire.

If you don’t know Sam Webster he makes super-fresh beats, some of which can be found on his myspace. If the artwork looks a bit sketchy is just the compression of the site, its embedded in the .mp3 along with the track-list so it’ll look super crisp on your iPod.

Mick Boogie & Adele - 1988

Mick Boogie & Adele

Our favourite Hip Hop mixtape gent is back with his latest brand-new mash-up mix-tape called “How many hyphenated words can you use in one sentence”. No, not really, its called Mick Boogie & Adele - 1988. Here Mick reaches out to some of the best up and coming producers and emcees and remixes them with Adele’s “19″ album. The twist is he backs it with a reinterpretation of beats from the 80s Hip Hop scene. Adele has been nominated for 4 Grammy’s so it looks like she is chasing Gold now as well as pavements (sorry, that was awful). This mix however, is not too shabby. Trailer and download below, free as always.

Tracklist:

  1. Chasing 1988: The Intro (f/ 6th Sense)
  2. Day Dreams (nVMe Remix)
  3. Tired (6th Sense Remix)
