I’ve been asking for hiphop mixes to be submitted for a while. There seems to be no shortage of budding Drum & Bass djs churning out mixes on a regular basis. However, trying to get your paws on a quality hiphop mix is a different story. Props to DJ Zappa for this mix, which, as the title suggests, is live and off the cuff.

Zappa, founder of FTG Entertainment, has been a dj/promoter for a fews years now but confesses “this will be the first mix that I have ever put out for people to listen to”. With that in mind I think it’s fair to say that this is a solid mix with some nice cuts thrown in for good measure. It’s by no means showcasing the latest tunes, more just “tunes that I cant stop playing at the moment”.
